Sidebar Placement — One Week

A sidebar placement runs on every article page of ondulane.ca for seven consecutive days, starting the Monday after your artwork is confirmed. It sits in the same position across desktop and mobile layouts, so it's visible whether a reader lands on a news story from Parkdale or a podcast write-up from the Ossington strip.

We take your existing artwork — a square or portrait image, a logo lockup, whatever you already use — and adapt it to fit the sidebar module. If you don't have finished artwork, send your logo, a business name and a short line of text and we'll lay it out. The placement links straight to your site, your booking page or a phone number, your choice.

What's included

  • Placement live on every article page for seven days
  • Artwork resized and adapted to the sidebar module
  • One round of revisions before the placement goes live
  • An impression and click summary delivered after the run

Mid-Episode Audio Spot Series

Four 30-second spots, placed at the midpoint of four consecutive episodes of our weekly local news podcast. Each spot is recorded by our studio team from a script you approve beforehand — you're not reading it live, and you're not sending us a rough voice memo to patch in. The finished read matches the show's usual sound.

This is built for businesses who'd rather have a produced, consistent-sounding ad than a live host read that varies week to week. We handle the writing adjustments needed to make a script sound natural when spoken, book the recording session, and slot the finished spot into the agreed episodes.

What's included

  • Four 30-second spots across four consecutive episodes
  • Scripting support to adapt your copy for read-aloud delivery
  • One recording session with our studio team
  • Per-episode listen counts provided after each airing

Promenade Partnership

The Promenade Partnership is our longest-running placement: five weeks across the site, the newsletter and the podcast at once. Over that stretch you get four host-read mentions on the podcast, four newsletter credits in our twice-weekly send, and one partner-labelled article — a longer feature clearly marked as a paid partnership, written with your input but never presented as independent reporting.

It's built for organizations who want to be visible to readers and listeners in the same five weeks rather than picking one channel. We plan the schedule with you up front so the mentions, credits and the article land where they'll be most useful — around an opening, a season, or an event.

What's included

  • Four host-read podcast mentions across the five weeks
  • Four newsletter credits in the regular send
  • One partner-labelled article, planned and drafted with your input
  • Coordination meeting at the start and a closing report at the end

Pricing note

What the listed prices cover

Each price above is the full cost of the placement as described — there's no separate production fee for the audio spots or the partnership article. What can change an estimate is scope: a script that needs a second recording session, or partnership elements moved outside the standard five-week window, are discussed and confirmed before we proceed, never added after the fact.

Payment is arranged when a booking is confirmed. Our full cancellation and refund terms are on the terms page and in detail on the Payment & refund policy .

Coverage

Where these placements actually reach

Our newsroom and studio are on Atlantic Avenue in Liberty Village. Reporting and placements alike cover Liberty Village, Parkdale, Queen West, Trinity Bellwoods and the Ossington strip — see the map on our home page for the exact location.

Materials & format

What each placement is built from

Sidebar

A static image module rendered in the article template's CSS grid — no autoplaying media.

Audio spot

Recorded in our studio on the same equipment used for the show, mixed to match episode loudness.

Partnership article

Written in our house style, labelled "Partner content" in the byline and the article list.

3

Build

Artwork is adapted, scripts are recorded, or partnership elements are drafted.

4

You review the final artwork, recording or article before it runs.

5

Run & report

The placement runs on schedule and we send a closing summary.

Who this is for

Where each placement tends to fit

Shops & studios

Retail, fitness studios and independent venues opening or running promotions locally.

Service businesses

Trades, clinics and professional services that draw clients from within walking or transit distance.

Organizations & events

Community groups, festivals and multi-week campaigns better suited to the Promenade Partnership.

These placements are not built for province-wide or national campaigns — our reach is the five neighbourhoods we report on, and we'd rather say that up front than let a booking sit outside our actual coverage.

Scope limits

What we don't do

We don't accept political or ballot-issue advertising, and we don't write a partnership article that reads like a press release without disclosure — every partner-labelled piece says so twice: once in the article list and once in the byline.

We also don't sell more than these three placements. If you need something outside the rate card — a dedicated newsletter send, a live-read only, custom video — it isn't something we currently offer.
